First Baptist Church of Winston Salem

First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem Façade Restoration was awarded the Chapter Project of the Year award from ICRI and the SWR Institute Award of Excellence.

This major façade restoration to a 95-year-old historic church included selective pointing, significant terra-cotta unit (TCU) patching, distressed TCU extraction, TCU replication, TCU glaze erosion repairs, sealing skyward facing joints using lead tees, and spot chemical cleaning wall surfaces by hand. Predominantly most of the detailed restoration involved replicating terra-cotta of the sanctuary bell tower. Other repairs included subgrade waterproofing repairs on boiler room walls and repairing slab ceiling spalls at exposed intermediate bell tower levels.

Wake Forest University, Poteat Hall

Poteat Hall was awarded the Carolina's Chapter ICRI Award of Honorable Mention for the concrete repairs and elevated deck waterproofing to the exposed walkways of this historic dormitory.
